I’ve just come back from my first visit to our new dairy. It’s not a dairy yet, but its presence has subtly changed the energy field. It’s like an anchor, unseen below the water but holding us steady.
First impressions: very large and airy, good sized office space, pretty big retail space and a view into what will be the make room. While 49 Griffith Road isn’t a “shopping” location, it’s connected to a busy road with many businesses, so there’s lots of flow-through traffic.
After working out of our homes – and I’m likely to continue doing so – I know it’s a relief to Ruth to get her computer out of her bedroom and into an office.
A bakery formerly leased 49 Griffith Road and they’ve left behind, among other things, bakers’ shelves, refrigerators, a white board noting butter tarts in the freezer and a bakery-themed wallpaper boarder at the top of the walls.
Ruth has lots of plans for the design and as she has extremely good taste (evidenced in her cheeses) and is rather original – the place won’t be recognizable when she’s done with it.
In the meantime, please come and have a look. Keep track of the transformation. Say “hi”. A new artisanal dairy doesn’t come along every day. We’re open Wednesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thanks to the folks who’ve already dropped by and especially to those who’ve dropped by with CSA forms and cheques.
By the way, you can still sign up with two cheques for the $500 and over level – one currently dated and the other what works for you (before the end of the year, of course!)
